Yeah read the other day. TGP totally screwed node when they bought them.

Games.on.net while still the main source of gaming news for me was never the same as it used to be before the change couple years ago.

Game servers will stay up and be re-evaluated sometime next year.

I was with TPG for a number of years and their customer service was one of the main reasons i went to Telstra.

Bad memories....

Australian ISP's should remove the S from ISP because they all want to give you internet without customer service features.

I too will miss games.on.net

Since TPG have closed games.on.net I've noticed significant speed drops on my internode connection.

right now speedtest.net gives me a speed of 6mbps

according to my modems statistics page;
Attainable Rate (Kbps): 19896

anyone else on node seeing this?

customer service is good but if you put lipstick on a pig its still a pig....

But it's a sexy pig.
I'm on adsl 1 out here in the boondocks, not looking like it will get any better for a few years looking at the roll outs.
6mbps sounds like lightening fast to moi
