Im definately upgrading my graphics card (from GTX570 GLH) to either a GTX770 or GTX780, because $$ are tight for me atm. I am preferring the 770, will it run BF4 at a decent visual level and frame rate. I know a 780 should shag it in.. but im hoping that the 770 will be pretty close. Here is a link of the card I am looking at>>

I have the specs in comparison (770 vs. 780) on this link>>

I just wondered what all your opinions would be.. Will the 770 be a safe cost effective upgrade to run bf4 on high spec???

Post your thoughts below.

OK.. I have shortened my list to either of these two cards. Does anyone want to suggest which one. Im thinking the 4gb card because rumors are the more ram the better on BF4

Hey Goth, I just upgraded my graphics card to a GTX 770 2gb OC.

Currently running BF3 on 1920x1080 - Ultra. When not a lot is happening I get ~80-100 fps. If it gets really busy it's ~60fps.

Everything looks very pretty, beats my 30fps low graphics on the old laptop! Orange_Colorz_PDT_15

Either will run everything out now and more than likely for ages to come fine, personally I would get the 4GB but that's because I don't agree with the norm that extra GFX Ram makes no difference unless using multiple high res monitors.

How come you went for the 770 Goth? Did you toss this one around? http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=193_1483&products_id=23962

I would really like a 780 and you are tempting me.. but $300 more in cost than a 770 Sad.. I just spent $4200 on dentist bills so i have to reign in the finances for a bit.. If i hadnt spent the money on my teeth i would have snapped up a 780 for sure.... <its still an outside chance.... and u have just re kindled the flame Razz)

Yeh I just look at it differently than your supposed to I think, like if I was upgrading now I would get the 7990 over a 7970 which would be also roughly $300 extra and everyone says "overkill" "not worth it" No gain" etc. but they said that about the 6990 I have and yes I payed $300 more than I could have, that was 2 years ago this week so it has cost me less $1 a day and there is nothing I can throw at it that it cant handle and I have no need to upgrade, you cant even get an ethiopian kid for less than $1 a day...
All the mentioned cards 770,780 will run the games for ages and run them fine unless something changes, I just see that extra $300 as buying me a little bit extra which could be a little bit extra time when it gets long in the tooth and that little bit extra Pixel rate, shaders n Bandwidth etc. could be worth it to know you can crank your AA up and surely has to help with Pixel rendering (the reason I got a 6990) which with all the micro destruction and candy explosions, dust, smoke etc. that will be happening on your screen in BF4 I would take any possible advantage I could get, that may all be wrong but is what seemed to make big differences in alot of the stuff I read, as said above all cards will run it fine but I prefer to run it as good as I can not just run it.
You dont need to get it for awhile anyway so it will be less than $300 by then anyway which means you will be able to get a Titan Wink
