Can anyone recommend a decent modem?

Having huge probs with my net dropping out and it looks like the modem may be the culprit. Drops, restart modem and back on, but sites load up very slow and what not but my speed and ping is all fine.

Not the PC just got a couple new bits and fresh install
I have a Netcomm modem at moment, reset it all all the usual crap
Anyone??

Billion are the best and most reliable. I went through 4 cisco routers in a year. I think mine is a bipac 5700.. prick of a deal to set up. but once done it rocks. Has great throughput and very reliable.

Hey dude i end up buying a new one. Billion NBN ready one from Internode, i know fuk all as well. Sorta fixed the probs, Had to change my line profile with internode which meant slower but stable connection.

Looks like my main problem is caused by the NBN work thats been going on in my area.

Jax did a line test for me and my line was fine although apparently it showed no ADSL here at all...

Give your ISP tech support a ring mate, i know Internode support is pretty good but not sure about others then go from there mate
