After a much needed R & R break, the forces of [S2] have once more been sent into battle by the high command, sending them in on what was supposed to be a simple guard mission, protecting vital oil resources, turned out to be more than simple. The enemy was well aware that oil was the achilles heel of an army and had sent in a commando brigade of the Ausstralian Heavy Assault team to neutralise the guarding force and then to steal the precious oil. So once more the the alarms went off, and [S2] found themselves scrambling into battle.

Round 1 [S2] as China.

With sirens screaming, the troops from [S2] formed up and raced into battle, with the commander spotting incoming troops heading for the oil cisterns and also enemy air support in the form of a Cobra. AHA had got away to a good rollout, but the metal soon met the meat as combat begun around the oil cisterns as the [S2] attack squad headed by the returning Fritzo sped in and deployed, sweeping the cisterns with a whirlwind of fire and securing up the positions. Some nice early spots by the commander also meant that the Z10 from [S2] got the first shot off and downed the enemy cobra denying air support to AHA. With the bleed fully on, [S2] went into lock down and started securing up the flags. AHA kept coming though in a relentless stream of buggies, some going to cisterns others making runs on the China main at old city, several times managing to get into the flag area, only to be denied by some excellent defensive tank work and with the chopper support did cut down these attacks. Cisterns was still bearing the brunt of the attacks with AHA succesful in neutralising it several times, and capping it at one stage only for a timly run by the attack squad follwing up a nice arty strike by the commander allowed the flag to be once more secured up by [S2]. AHA Then capitalised on a distracted Z10 downing the chopper, and setting up for a chopper camp, realising how dangerous an asset this was for the [S2] side. The camp worked well, but while the chopper was concentrating on keeping the Z10 down the bleed was still on and eating into the tickets, and the [S2] defender were under immense pressure but refused to fall back or give up the flag. The cobra was taken down by a cross fire of FAV 50 cal gunfire and the z10 once more took to the air but with only 20 tickets left it wasn't long before the round ended in favour of [S2] 94 -0

Round 2 [S2] as USMC

A quick half time break and the 2nd round was underway with [S2] electing to employ the KISS principle and just grab the cisterns and lock down 2 flags. The roll out went [S2]'s way but with plenty of fighting around the cisterns as AHA had the same idea and pushed in not only that but also pushing a buggy around the western side and performing a flank attack into the refinery flag. Once more with a tank on defence and some nice spotting, the attack was defeated after a fashion, but the SL had been missed and so another attack was made by AHA but with some UAV help this time the SL was taken out as well the squad making the attack, but AHA had also greyed the Cisterns. So overall it was a bit of a sea saw battle in the opening few minutes, except in the air, where the Cobra from [S2] had downed the Z10 and was making sure that it wouldn't take to the air again. [S2] once more pushed numbers to the cisterns flag and recapped it to secure up the bleed and then went into a serious lockdown. AHA finding the firepower at cisterns too hot, sent buggies into the refinery flag time and time again but only due to some nice spotting and defending by chiccy in the tank, meant that the flag was safe after some very determined pushes by AHA. For some reason only known to himself, the attack squad leader thought he had a supercharged DPV and so spent a few minutes doing some happy laps through the Chinese main, we have no idea what he was doing, he can't explaing it himself, and i am sure it confused the hell out of AHA as well.
The Cobra was doing alot of work in the air, neutralising not only the Z10 but also the AHA armour and numerous buggy raids, picking them off at distance and releiveing the pressure on the defending troops. Only going down just before end of the game, when the pilot found some lag and ploughed the cobra into the ground at cisterns. With a tight lockdown, and some nice defensive work to keep the bleed on, the tickets counted down and the round went to [S2] by 98-0

Round 1 [S2] 94 AHA 0
Round 2 [S2] 98 AHA 0
Total Score [S2] 192 AHA 0

Have to say a big thanks to the guys from AHA, was a tough match and you certainly kept us working hard specially on our main flags with those numerous buggy runs, we look forward to playing you guys again.
To the my mob, well done, was good to see the teamwork coming into play as well as seeing some old faces making a comback. top work by the ground pounders including Bishop and his sword and even fritzo getting the old rusty razor blade out and taking some one out with it. chiccy in the tank was fantastic and provided a bit of back to the spotting that Jax was doing. LMK Qbar and Blue did magnificent when Fritzo went off on his road rampages and also Fireman doing some nice infantry work as well. I better thank my pilot as well, nice flying mate apart from that incident with the ground Very Happy .Good job all round people and nice to see we had alot of fun doing it.
