After a sporting gesture by OZF letting us know that they were free to be challenged, after the last attempt when we had server issues. [S2] took up this sporting offer and so it was set, the exact same as the last match. Kubra Dam on a friday night. Both sides rocked up and laid their kegs down, but somebody must have forgotten to tell GA that we were kicking off at 9pm, once again more server issues. But 20 minutes later the server was finally up. And then We were into it.

Round 1 [S2] as USMC
The rollout started well with DPV's zooming off to bridge base and material station, and then lower dam as well. the cobra and F18 took to the skies seeking out the OZF airforces. Soon [S2] had capped bridge base and material station. The fight in the air was more intense with the mig 29 from OZF making the cobra its number one target. The ground fighting was intense and flags were capped and then recapped by both sides. The cobra succeeded in doing some damage but was downed a few times by the mig ( and rammed a few times in the round as well by the mig) A massive battle was raging around the lower dam flag, with infantry in the tunnels and armour patroling next to the flag from both sides. With some good DPV runs and a blackhawk drop, [S2] captured construction site, reducing one threat axis to our air force. OZF mounted raids across the dam wall with FAV's and the T90 tank, as well as sending infantry down the scaffolding to join in the battle at lower dam, the flag that would go up and then down, then spend alot of time grey as neither side could gain control of it. The attack squad from [S2] then pushed for intake capturing it with some chopper support and also some accurate bomb runs from the f18 on the mi 28 and the armour that was spawning there. With the intake in [S2] control the pressure was on OZF, they didn't give up, they sent buggies on long runs thru the hills to take material station, one time capturing it, but it was quickly recaptured with [S2] armour rolling up and th cobra in support while a stolen mi 28 was pounding on power station which OZF had been pushed back into after lower dam had fallen into [S2]'s hot little hands. With a good push powerstation fell and then it was down to hunting the last few remaining ozf soldiers, and then it was over. [S2] winning the round 80 -0 in a cap out.

Round 2 [S2] as MEC
This round started off the same as last, the armour getting ready to hold the onslaught that we knew was coming from OZF, the choppers taking to the air looking for targets and the mig 29 heading skyward after the F18. A buggy was sent to contest for bridge base which we ended up after a short firefight capping form under OZF noses to keep them on the bleed. This didn't last long though as OZF capped refuelling station and then lower dam as well. The battle in the air was evenly balanced, with the f18 dodging the mig 29 and knocking down the [S2] mi 28 quite a few times, while the second mi 28 ducked and hid behind anything it could. But when they weren't dodging the fighter the mi 28's were causing alot of problems for OZF picking off armour and buggies and attacks on flags. OZ kept pushing hard capping material station and then construction as well, after a good buggy run catching the [S2] defence off guard, but not nearly as off guard as they managed to sneak a SL somehow onto the intake flag. Capping the intake before the choppers could come back and clean up. The rest of the round was going to be interesting as [S2] had lost their main, and with it in short time the commanders assets went up in smoke. A quick push had construction back in [S2]'s hands. Unfortunately the time was up on the server and the round didn't get to end properly as it was going to be a great finsih to a good match. the score when the server decided to die was 95 - 77 in [S2]'s favour

Round 1 [S2] 80 OZF 0
Round 2 [S2] 95 OZF 77
Total [S2] 175 OZF 77

Well once again we got stuffed by a server problem. Thanks to the OZF guys for putting up with it. A good match was had by all and some really nice work by both sides. OZF had obvisouly learnt from the previous match against us, and for some reason thought our choppers were a real danger focusing alot of effort on killing them. The airforces on both sides weren't as effective in this match leaving it to be dominated by footsloggers and tank toads. Some nice ramming in the air and a good arty kill by the OZF on our chopper too were good fun. Thanks to OZF for a great match and also for being good sports and letting us know that they would like to play us again on the ladder after the issues with the server last match ( although hoges tipped the server both times, i wonder if he has any control over the servers???) BOL with the rest of the ladder OZF, top sportsmanship and great guys. And to the Boys, great effort again well played.

Hey guys i was keen to see the write up, as i thought it was a very enjoyable game. Sometimes the score doesnt tell the true story of a good fun hard game, but this game certainly was all of that. We never mind losing to a team we like and you guys now fall into that category. GG to all for being great sports and look forward to our next game (im hoping to book a friendly with you guys in about 2-3 weeks).

Oh also from memory i dont think we got capped out that first round ? Maybe the many bourbans may have altered my memory Razz
